It's update time again and you guessed it... Timmy's making headlines one more time in his short little life!!! He had a dental appointment just before Christmas and that's when they gave us the bad news...the enamel on some of his teeth is not forming correctly. The dentist said he has three cavities, one is large (it looks like a cave and is located on the back side of his second molar) one is medium in size and the third one is small. We went to see a pediatric dentist in Vancouver Wa. on February 4th and on February 16th we go back and they are going to sedate him and give him laughing gas, do a baby root canal to see how bad the damage is and if the tooth is even still alive. If they get in there and find that it is dead or even close then they will do an extraction of the tooth fill the other two and then seal the teeth that do not have enough enamel on them.
I bet the insurance company sees " Timothy Brock" on the paper work and go oh no not him again. The dentist said there really is no one reason for the enamel to not form properly on his teeth but it could be due to high fevers (which he does get) a medication he has taken or even genetics could play a part. I asked if he has juice or milk mouth and he said no infact this is just the opposite, and all the brushing in the world could not have prevented it either. So the good news is that we did nothing wrong.
On a much happier note... Jay Jay started Karate two weeks ago and he loves it. He has already earned a green stripe for his belt for knowing his first set of moves and he also earned a blue pencil that night for listening and going through the balance course faster ( in 7 seconds) than all the other kids. He also earned a goldish colored pencil for avoiding and not getting hit by the little paper stars they throw. Yeah, Jay Jay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jay is doing well and is in physical therapy for his foot. No cast, no boot, no crutches...just his regular shoes. He is still sore and stiff in the mornings and sometimes when he has been on his feet all day but that is what physical therapy is supposed to help.
Thanksgiving was fun and invoved Jay Jay getting a trophy at the 5th annual Turkey Trot. This is a one mile race that his school does and he was the youngest kid to run a mile and he did it in 14 min and 36 sec. It took me longer. I volunteered to help and cheer the kids on but the coach decided that because he was so young that I should run with him...let's just say Jay Jay crossed the finish line five minutes before I did.

Christmas was spent in Seattle and so was New Years then it was home to Seaside and back to school. Other than Timmy there has been nothing else exciting to report on.
